* now missiles are the fasted to attack an aircraft. so speed of a plane is
very important in order not to be hit by a missile. hence i selected speed is
the most required thing to an aircraft.
* Stealth has become most vital feature with the advent of BVR missiles. "Line
of sight" warfare is a thing of a past. Fighter a/c without stealth capability
is vulnerable to ground based defences as well. Speed, manoeuvrability and
avionics, weapons and stealth does make a formidable combination. But in the
ultimate analysis it is the pilot who reigns supreme.
* I don't know why these fighter aircraft need to hold such costly avionics that
loss of just one aircraft gives a blow of millions of dollars. I believe cost
effiency is required.
* AS FAR AS AN AIRCRAFT IS CONCERNED. IT SHOULD HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF HOLDING
WEAPONS. THATS WHAT AN FIGHTER AIRCRAFT IS MEANT FOR . AN FIGHTER AIRCRAFT
WITHOUT ANY WEAPON IS A JUNK.
* fighter aircraft in this era needs maneuverability,speed,and
stealth.Maneuverability and speed for close combat and stealth for BVR.Of course
fighter aircraft will always have the weapons it need for the mission it is
designed to do.Plus the aircraft needs a person born to be a fighter pilot
* Modern fighters need speed, agility and a comparitively higher weapon load.In
today`s high tech battle feild &given the high procurement costs of new
aircraft,countries need fighters which can at the same time cripple ground
units& have enough air-air armament to deter would be interceptors eg: the f-16
or the f-18e.
